13.1 Marathon Series Prize Money
Each 13.1® event offers Elite runners a total prize money purse of $3,500 distributed as:
Overall Male: 1st - $1,000; 2nd - $500, 3rd - $250
Overall Female: 1st - $1,000; 2nd - $500, 3rd - $250
*The winners of each 13.1® event in 2011 and the 13.1® Los Angeles in 2012 will be invited to compete in the championship event - 13.1® Miami Beach 2012 - and receive a complimentary registration. Other invitees will be determined by completion of a 2011 13.1® event with a qualifying time under 1:12 for the men and under 1:22 for the women. Additionally, if a runner has a qualifying time under 1:05 for the men and under 1:10 for the women in any non 13.1 Marathon® Series event, then they can qualify for the championship event and prize money in Miami Beach.
Series Championship - Miami Beach March 4, 2012 - offers total prize money of $29,200 distributed as:
Overall Male: 1st - $13,100; 2nd - $1,000, 3rd - $500
Overall Female: 1st - $13, 100; 2nd - $1,000, 3rd - $500
*Elite runners must qualify for the championship to be eligible to win the prize money. Qualification can be accomplished by winning a 13.1® event during the 2011 rotation (including the 2012 13.1® Los Angeles), or by finishing with a predetermined qualifying time.
2012 Series Awards
There will be multiple special achievement award levels that individual athletes can attain throughout the 2011 13.1 Marathon® Series. When you reached an achievement level please contact us to claim your award.
The first two (2) completed events in the series earn a specially designed Craft Shirt!
The first 3 (3) completed events in the series earn a custom rings medal engraved with the city names! View Medal
Complete five (5) events in the series to each a custom designed medal! You get to choose which cities go on the medal!
Complete the entire 13.1 Marathon® Series to earn an amazing award - Entry to any 13.1® Series event for LIFE!
Awards are based off achievement of events within calendar year 2012. Qualifying events in 2012 are:
