13.1 Marathon® Series Prize Money

Each 13.1® event offers Elite runners a total prize money purse of $3,500 distributed as:

Overall Male: 1st - $1,000; 2nd - $500, 3rd - $250
Overall Female: 1st - $1,000; 2nd - $500, 3rd - $250

Bonuses:

American Record: $50,000
World Record: $100,000

Please contact USRS at eliteinfo@usroadsports.com with any questions regarding the elite program, prize money or the 13.1 Marathon® National Championship. If you are interested in any of the 13.1 Marathon® Series events, please contact us at least two weeks prior to the event. 

You must fill out the ELITE ATHLETE APPLICATION FORM to be considered for a complimentary entry into the race.


13.1 Marathon® National Championship


When: March 4, 2012
Where: Miami Beach, FL

13.1® National Championship offers total prize money of $29,200 distributed as:

Overall Male: 1st - $13,100; 2nd - $1,000, 3rd - $500
Overall Female: 1st - $13,100; 2nd - $1,000, 3rd - $500

Qualification Standards:

In order to be eligible to win the championship prize money runners must qualify. Qualification can be accomplished several ways:
  1. Winning a 13.1® Series event during the 2011 rotation (including the 2012 Los Angeles 13.1 Marathon®)
  2. Completing a 13.1® Series event during the 2011 rotation (including the 2012 Los Angeles 13.1 Marathon®) with a time under 1:12:00 for the men and under 1:22:00 for the women.
  3. Completing a non 13.1® Series half marathon event with a time under 1:05 for the men and under 1:14 for the women.

    *All qualifying times subject to verification by race staff.

If you meet one of the three qualifying standards please fill out the form below and contact eliteinfo@usroadsports.com. For eligible athletes to race in the 13.1 Marathon® National Championship the elite athlete MUST contact us at least THREE weeks prior to the event. The elite field is limited and may close sooner.
