REGISTRATION
How do I register for the 13.1® Atlanta?
Visit www.131atlanta.com,
click on Register Now. You can register online or download a mail-in entry form.Yes. Participants must be at least 14 years old to run the 13.1® Atlanta.
How do I confirm my registration?
All participants will receive a confirmation email upon registering. If you are registered for the 13.1® Atlanta and would like to either confirm your entry or receive another email confirmation, please send an email to run@131atlanta.com.
Is there a limit on the number of participants in the race?
Yes. The 13.1® Atlanta has a limit of 5,000 runners.
Registration will end on September 28, 2010 (online), September 26, 2010 (mail-in) or when registration reaches 5,000.
Do you give our email address to other organizations?
We do not sell email addresses.
What is the 13.1® Atlanta refund policy?
We adhere to the standard running industry policy. All entry fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-deferrable. We have to plan well in advance for certain accommodations for race participants, and therefore cannot offer refunds. You may not give or sell your number to another individual. The entry fee for 2010 event WILL NOT transfer to the 2011 event, no exceptions. This policy stays in effect whether you are injured, have unexpected business or family emergency, etc. Sorry, there are NO exceptions.
I registered for the 13.1® Atlanta without a discount code, but now I have one. Can you refund me the discount?
No. Sorry about that. Sometimes you are lucky and catch a sale and sometime not.
No. All entry fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-deferrable. Sorry NO exceptions. Once entry has need received, no refunds will be given. The entry fee for the 2010 race will not transfer to the 2011 race. All entries are confirmed by email.
Can I register on the day of the event?
There is NO race day registration.
Can I download a registration form from the website?
Yes. Click on Register Now to download a form.
How do I make changes to the online registration form once it have been submitted?
If you would like to make changes to your registration form once it has been submitted please email run@131atlanta.com.
AWARDS
Do all runners receive a medal for participating?
Yes! 13.1® Atlanta finishers will cross the finish line on Oglethorpe University. Each finisher receives a commemorative medal and bandanna at the finish line. Following the race, there will be live entertainment and an awards ceremony. All participants and spectators are invited to enjoy the race after-party!

What do I need to pick up my packet?
You must show a picture ID to pick up your race packet. THERE IS NO RACE DAY PACKET PICK-UP.
Can someone else pick up my packet?
Yes. Runners may have someone else pick up their packet. You must have a copy of the participants email confirmation and a photocopy of their photo ID.

Can my friends come to the race?
Yes. We welcome friend and family to cheer on the runners!
Where can my friends and family cheer me on?
A key location for spectators to assemble and cheer for the participants is across Peachtree Rd from the MARTA Brookhaven/Oglethorpe station (NE8). This area includes several fast food restaurants that are open early on Sunday morning, including Dunkin Donuts, Waffle House and McDonalds. Spectators can reach this cheering area by taking MARTA to the Brookhaven/Oglethorpe station.

Who is the host hotel, what is the price and where is it locations?
The 13.1® Atlanta host hotel is the Marriott Perimeter Center. For travel information, please click on our travel page.
What is the best way to get to the start?
For ease, MARTA, Atlanta's rapid transit system, is the preferred method of transportation to the starting line. Parking is limited on the Oglethorpe University campus. Participants and spectators are strongly urged to take MARTA to the NE8 Brookhaven/Oglethorpe station. You will walk approximately 1 mile north on Peachtree Road to Oglethorpe University. Parking on or near Oglethorpe University is limited. Several free parking areas are indicated on the Race Day Information Sheet, which will be available at www.131atlanta.com closer to race day.

How much and how often do I need to train?
13.1® Atlanta has teamed up with Active Trainer coaches to create a half marathon training programs that are a balances of aerobic, anaerobic and cross training workouts. This training program is built to get people of all levels across the finish line. From the first timer to the seasoned veteran, you will find the right training program for you. When does the 13.1® Atlanta start?
The race will start at 7:13am
Where does the races the Start and Finish?
The start and finish is located on the Oglethorpe University campus.
How many miles are the 13.1® Atlanta?
The 13.1® Atlanta is 13.1 miles.
Can I run with IPods, mp3 player, stroller, dogs or headphones?
NO. In consideration for safety of all participants, there will be NO coaches, skateboards, baby joggers, bikes, animals or in-line skates allowed on the course.
US Road Sports & Entertainment follows the guidelines set forth within the USA Track and Field (USATF) Competition Rules regarding the use of headphones and personal music devices. To learn more please visit USATF.
This is the 2nd running of the 13.1® Atlanta.
How long is the 13.1® Atlanta course open for?
The 13.1® Atlanta finish line will close at 10:43am.
Will I be able to finish the race on the sidewalk?
After 10:43am runner may complete the race on the sidewalk. However the Finish Line will close at 10:43am.
Yes. Participants may walk but they must be able to complete the race by 10:43am. Walkers must start behind the runners at the starting line. There is NO early start.
Do I have to join a charity group to participate?
No. You do not have to join a charity group to participate in the 13.1® Atlanta.
What time will the roads/lanes be closed?
Road and lane closures will be posted. Check the Race Info page for the street list with times.
Is the course closed to traffic?
The race shares the road with traffic. The runners will be in a coned lane that separated the runners from traffic. There will be Police Officers placed at each traffic intersection to control traffic.
How many Aid Stations will you have?
There will be 8 Aid Stations along the course, with plenty of water and Gatorade.
Will there be food at the finish line?
Yes. Publix will be provide a variety of runner food a the finish line festival!
Is the course USA Track and Field Certified?
Yes. The 13.1® Atlanta course is USATF certified (#GA09032WC).
RACE CONCERNS
Q: What do I do if I injure myself on the course?
A: There will be medical support along the course at each Aid Station. There will also be ambulances, bike EMS and medical support though out the course.

A: Results will be posted on the 13.1® Atlanta website under Results.
