As running and walking experience a major boom in popularity, the concept of running for a cause is also gaining significant attention and growth. The Atlanta 13.1 Marathon® is proud to work with nonprofit groups and appreciates the integral role charity fundraising plays in drawing new runners and promoting the sport. The opportunity to fundraise through races provides a great avenue for charities to cut through the competitive world of fundraising. Running has evolved into a sport that encourages completion versus competition. There are many sources of training information to help your charity runner complete the challenge of finishing a half marathon or 5K. The goal is to get them started so they can get going! Any nonprofit group that raises funds for charity can participate in the Charity Affiliate Program.
For charity opportunities, please contact David Scott: DScott@usroadsports.com
Large Group Affiliates:
The Atlanta 13.1 Marathon® also welcomes many businesses, training groups, running clubs and other non-fundraising organizations each year and offers a variety of benefits based on the number of participants the group recruits for the race. Any non-fundraising organization with a group of 10 or more can participate in the Large Group Affiliate Program.

Street GRACE is an alliance of churches, community partners, and volunteers dedicated to supporting, enlarging, and allying with those individuals and organizations working toward eliminating the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC). Street GRACE mobilizes the resources within the community — financial, human and material — toward those organizations and individuals who have demonstrated effectiveness in battling CSEC in the areas of advocacy, aftercare and mentoring. Our ultimate goal is the elimination of this problem in the city of Atlanta and duplication of these efforts in other cities across the United States. |
