Charity & Large Group Affiliate Program

Over 3,000 participants took part in the inaugural 13.1® Atlanta.  The 13.1® Atlanta will return to the beautiful Oglethorpe University campus and the half marathon course will once again traverse through beautiful neighborhoods and parks.  There will be live entertainment along the course to keep runners moving and rocking through charming Atlanta streets.  A new addition this year is the Karhu 5K, which will start and finish in the same location as the 13.1® Atlanta half marathon.

All 2010 13.1® Atlanta affiliates will receive an entry fee group discount.  Affiliates' logo and organization description will be included on the Charity & Large Group Affiliate page under Race Partners.  Affiliates will also be eligible to earn race weekend benefits such as a finish line tent or PA announcements.

Charity Affiliates:

As running and walking experience a major boom in popularity, the concept of running for a cause is also gaining significant attention and growth.  The 13.1® Atlanta is proud to work with nonprofit groups and appreciates the integral role charity fundraising plays in drawing new runners and promoting the sport.  The opportunity to fundraise through races provides a great avenue for charities to cut through the competitive world of fundraising.  Running has evolved into a sport that encourages completion versus competition.  There are many sources of training information to help your charity runner complete the challenge of finishing a half marathon or 5K.  The goal is to get them started so they can get going!  Any nonprofit group that raises funds for charity can participate in the Charity Affiliate Program.
